In a job interview at a startup, I was once asked (seriously) who my favorite Sesame Street character was. They said it helped them understand whether someone would fit into their company. I replied the Cookie Monster, which set off a short argument as to whether the Cookie Monster was really a Sesame St character (it was decided he was). I didn’t get the job. I don’t think I minded, though I would love to have known where that idea came from.
