I also call this “the fumble effect:” if the football is on the ground, and the whistle has not blown, it is your football. It does not matter who was supposed to carry the ball; you pick it up and run with it.
This sounds nice, but many people do not like it when you are in their lane or are rearranging their sandbox.
Sometimes, people do NOT want you to solve their problems for them. Sometimes you shouldn’t. You have to learn when to mentor and learn when to delegate.
