stpatme: You are so right. And look how America responded when Jimmy Carter told people to turn down the heat & put on a sweater. We wouldn’t have our current dependence on foreign oil if we’d continued to pursue his energy policies. Instead, Reagan took the solar panels off the White House, got rid of tax credits for alternative energy, and told people exactly what they WANTED to hear. Our slide into our current dilemma began right then.
