we went to Spain on a HS trip… we were forbidden to go to McDonald’s, on the reasoning that we were there for a new cultural experience – so of course we all did… AND it actually WAS somewhat different from an American McD’s (in fact, I think my burger was horse meat !) So we told our teacher we went but it was still a new cultural experience
