Cause Lulu doesn’t want to go to the vet that is why she doesn’t want to get into the cage either to get there. Most dogs don’t except Alex who love the vet,
The only way I can get my 22 lb cat in his carrier. Stand carrier on end, pick up cat, love on him, carefully drop him in but shut door fast. Slowly tilt carrier back to correct position. Listen to caterwauling for 20 min drive across town to vet, 15 mins at the vet and 20 minutes home, cat’s meows are now hoarse. Open carrier, get hissed at and don’t see cat for 2 to 3 hrs.

We would tip the car carrier on end & slip them into it, slam the door shot & set it flat again or wrap them in a towel 1st. Worked every time.
