Here since city is electronic parking tickets come in the mail. Me I’ve never received one. When I go downtown usually wind up parking away and its free due the parking meters up close is taken. What confuses me though is Sat. don’t know if park free or not. But during the week is not free.
The boy could have gotten the old windshield wiper off the car as dad replaced with a new one.
Yes people use windshield wipers all the time for advertisements.
“Show and Tell” days can become moments of desperation when Mom hears “Oh, I need something for Show and Tell.” If a windshield wiper is handy, why not use it? After a few years of grade school, what do you have left around the house? I remember climbing over a wire fence to get a cotton boll just because I knew it would come in handy for later.
The small Northern California town I moved to when I quit working and took up fishing full time has NO parking meters anywhere - not one, none, zero meters. (D@rn place has a Walmart, though…)
Airline lost and trashed my luggage when my kids decided we should visit Branson (not a small town, but only tourist). I had to shop twice at Walmart :-( - actually find the cotton nightgown comfy, but the actual luggage is NOT acceptable. At least a Target would have had something better. Target should give them a run in all those towns because they are SUCH a “cut above”. Branson NEEDS a decent store!!! OBH always has great gags.

Salespeople, fund raiser people, and anyone else uses that too with their flyers.
Now why does Ruthie’s classmate have a windshield wiper? Maybe his daddy is an automobile salesman. (I almost thought that was a squeejee.)

I’m glad to say I never found a parking ticket there or anywhere else…but yes, flyers have been found there.

The only thing I remember ever taking to school for show-and-tell was a dead bat… (I bet the teacher loved that!)
