Love it! A new way to mess with telemarketers is always welcome!

    @ Kab Buch,

I am on the Do Not Call List and I still sometimes get calls from telemarketers. Some groups have told me that they are exempt from honoring the list.

I don’t bother with the DNC list (too many exceptions) I keep phones nearby most places where I spend time and have a talking caller ID, so I can answer if it’s someone I know, and give a quick hangup to others. I just wish family didn’t keep getting more phone numbers ;-)

I went on the DNC list to stop a particularly obnoxious group that called with a recording every day for four months trying to interest us in government grants. I mean, if were were interested, we’d have responded in the first week or two.

Also, there was no way to figure out who was behind it without giving them information–so I simply went on the list.
