That’s what I like about this strip. You can see a direct line of nutiness from the grandparent to the child through the parents. The sense of humor is passed down through the generations.
Vanpelt said:“Looks like they’ve gone back to running old strips, and once again I’ll have to go elsewhere for the current strip.”Josh: Looks like it. My guess is that GoComics read our comments and decided to revert back to the “classic” ones (“classic” as in the ones from two years back).
I think this means that Rick caught up with them, because they are only paying for vintage strips but were running the current ones- I read those weekdays at Houston Chron. and I want to see him get paid properly (and I also love seeing various OBH every day!)

Ooh, time warp! Guess we won’t be seeing Willie again (here) for about a year…
The only one of those I’ve ever heard of before is “Quick like a bunny”. (Seems like it should be “Quick like a squirrel”!)

My grandparents never said that. No parents never did. And now my mom doesn’t only concerned about herself.

I rather like “Scoot, scoot bandicoot”! Has a nice ring to it! :-D My mom used to say “Quick like a bunny”, so consequently I said it to my kids, too!
I’m glad they’ve gone back to the classics. This way I can read the current OBH and 2 different old ones!

Most of Grandpa’s lingo here seems adapted from the old “diner” talk- I never heard most of them combined before.
