But then I saw a news story about a toddler who was badly burned when one of those coffee pod machines suddenly started spraying hot water all over the place. The machine had been recalled, but the family didn’t know about it because they had not filled in a registration card and so they were not personally notified.

All you have to tell them in Iceland is your name and ID number. They need that for the waranty, so that they know who bought it and when.
