That’s sad.

Too soon for me as a friend just passed last week…

It’s better to be over the hill than under it.

As Yogi Berra once (may have) said, “You should always go to other people’s funerals; otherwise, they won’t come to yours.”

If it wasn’t for funerals, memorial services, or doctor’s appointments, I’d have no social life. The down side of aging.

In retirement, my wife and I now help with funeral luncheons at church. The trouble is, I’m starting to know some of the deceased. Tick, tick, tick …

Better check again Thursday morning!

In our small town, where most people know each other, except for the influx of strangers, a lot of people I know have been dying lately. It’s very sad. And no, it’s not the ’Rona.

Where there is life is the inevitable death.

Physicians would be ecstatic over a new means of reviving the dead.

That’s even worse than having one’s social calendar defined by doctor appointments!

Our obits section has been quite extensive for the past few months. I keep checking to see if any relatives or members of my graduating class are in it. The last relative was a year or two ago.

Bittersweet – lost an older friend last week.

Stan Laurel of Laurel and Hardy said, “If you don’t come to my funeral, I will never speak to you again.”
