Wouldn’t it be fun to cross pollinate some cherry tomatoes with a habanero pepper and then watch the wabbits eat them!
On another front, I have a tomato plant in my yard that is beginning it’s third (Yes! 3rd) season. San Diego is a wonderful place!

Rock-hard tomatoes cook up real nice in a rabbit stew.

I think the rabbit is trying a tactic to get extra juicy tomatoes this year. Let just hope that they’re thrown at him first. Boo, rabbits!
Good morning, Crew!

Had a year when a woodchuck invaded my garden. They love apples but hate tomatoes. He sampled about eight of mine leaving a bite mark in them, determined apparently that one must be an apple. Just one nasty big bite taken out of several very large tomatoes…Get a .22, oh gardener of the boat. Get a .22.

One year I found red hot peppers that looked just like sweet bell peppers. Did I have fun giving them away.

ahoy Crew and an aside to Dry (in a sarcastic tone)… hanh - spear and magic helmet.
one of my favourite Bugs Bunny cartoons. “What did you expect from an opera? A happy ending?”

Between the dogs, the mice, the rabbits and the cat, the animals have pretty much edged out the humans as the stars of this strip.

After ignoring my tomatos for years, the wascally wabbits went after them last summer. Hope they go back to their old ways this summer.

gillbillvolume1 that one is a close second. i also like the one where he’s playing a banjo and disturbing the tenor trying to rehearse. my other favourite is the one where he finds Alladin’s Lamp.
“lamp! some lamp. well, maybe i can shine it up and use it as an ash tray or something.” i use the genie’s entrance line regularly. “i’m here! i’m here! let the bells ring out and the banners fly! feast your eyes on me! it’s too good to be true, but, i’m here! i’m here!”
