We have neighbors that live on a lake with a dock and two labs. Those dogs will chase a tennis ball into the water and retrive it until they are too tired to walk a straight line. Then, my gosh they sleeeeeeeep. And snore.

My Lab never met a puddle that she wouldn’t lie down in. No matter how dirty she’d get, she would always be clean when we got back home.
