Gah! This is a pet peeve of mine. The right word here is VESTED, not invested. Money is invested, power is vested. It means something completely different. You used to see this used as a joke, and peoole laughed, but it was used wrong so many times that most people have no idea that they are getting it spelled wrong nowadays. It’s possible that the toonist is intentionally getting it wrong but it’s just broken now as a joke if the audience doesn’t notice and just spreads the error. Sorry for the big rant, but this is my personal bugaboo.
