I don't often pull rank and act like the boss, Charley.. Next is the Beagle But but I must insist we turn that program off. Thank you. Click Westminster kennel club.. One Hundred and nine years.. Never has a lab one best in show.
When I was growing up, we had a next door neighbor that raised show Cocker Spaniels. They were never loved, never played with, and were the most miserable dogs I have ever seen. I don’t go to dog shows.
Neither a lab nor a border collie has ever won either the Westminster Kennel Club or the Purina National Dog show, which renders both competitions completely irrelevant.
Our hospital has Doc, a black service Lab. and he goes around to the rooms and visits and people can pet him unlike the service dogs for the blind, etc.
Working and Sporting Groups should always win. They are sharp and awesome. Those others are just …. well… useless.Retrievers and Shepherds for the WIN!
For the first 31 years, the WKC didn’t have an award for Best in Show. Since 1907, the title has been awarded 107 times (every year but 1923), 46 of them to one or another of the Terrier breeds.
Do the math. With currently 192 different breeds and varieties all competing for the win, it’s a long shot for any dog.
Even if all those 107 were different breeds, there’s still 85 of them out there that wouldn’t have gotten awards yet.

Perhaps because there’s always a joker in the audience that yells “squirrel!”

Labs don’t need “Best in Show” when they are"Best in World"

Right – go to the dictionary – look up “Good Dog” and there is a lab staring back at you (and almost certainly wagging away)

A working dog doesn’t stand a chance in a elitist contest.I’d like to see some of those foo-foo dogs at a retriever trial.

I enjoy how the dogs have trained their owners to run around in circles. Good human!

Judges don’t seem to take too kindly to dog kisses.
