My niece got an animated doll that was quite large (maybe 2’ tall) for her birthday one year. It was motion activated and would move its arms, light up (with a really scary face if you weren’t expecting it), talk (it would say things like, “let me hug you!”) and move it’s arms. My brother about tossed it in the trash after it freaked him out one too many times when trying to get to the kitchen for a glass of water in the middle of the night in a half asleep state. We all can succumb in the wrong moment. :-)
