The pool should stay open until the mouse hockey season starts.

Sometimes (back in the day) we tenants had to cajole the building manager to hold off on closing the pool until that last week of what used to be called something else but now I believe the polite term is “second summer”.

Here, it’s mid September and we’re still topping 80 every day this week, but there’s also generally a lovely week in October to come.

Louie has some mad talent! The way he is making the water act.

We had “false fall” last week when the high temps were in the upper 70s-low 80s. Now we are back in summer with highs in the mid to upper 90s for at least the next 10 days or more. Anyone with a pool is probably still taking advantage of it.

I am fighting a loosing battle keeping mine open. I spend most of my time in it removing leaves, but I am in it!

Who can resist Louie?

Last week in LA we had the hottest day of the year by far: 110º at my place. Today, high of 75º, 69º tomorrow and rain during the week. Next weekend, back into the 90s. I think the pool can stay out.
