I am impressed by the choice of musical example in panel 5 (Prokofiev, Piano Concerto No. 2, cadenza from first movement). The author of this strip must be a hard-core music lover. Kudos!
(For those that don’t know, the Prok 2 is one of the most kick-ass piano concertos in the repertoire, although it is not often played due to its frankly insane difficulty)

Sigh Drummers….SO glad I didn’t ride the drum bus in drum corps….at least I was able to sleep!

That IS some mighty fine triangle playing. “Flight of the Valkyries” must be from some sort of latter day updating of Die Walkure. “Ride of the Valkyries”, would be much more traditional.

Only Hammy can play chords on a triangle.

Am I the only one who will call out the Dave Brubeck piece?

I’d like to see Hammy play the guitar

Considering Hammy’s music he should be playing the glockenspiel. But the triangle IS way easier to draw!

If Hammy’s pulling focus, shouldn’t there be a movie camera involved?
