Something interesting I learned yesterday: at La Brea Tar Pits in Los Angeles, they have NEVER found bones or remains of a raccoon. Plenty other remains/fossils of many species of ground rodents dating back 35000 years have been recovered, and there are raccoons living in the area, but not one found in a tar pit.
Yet another excellent reason to forego the Twinkie purchase! We live in an urban area and have raccoon issues. Have to lock up the cat door at night because of nighttime home invasions. Bungee cord the rolling garbage cans shut (which has worked so far). Oh, those clever little hands and evil little minds.

RJ’s reaction in panel one is priceless.
