With a world full of famous, bright, intelligent people, it’s always sad when someone goes on. Monkey Punch, for example, who is the creator of “Lupin the 3rd” (Lupin III), died this week at 81 while still working on stuff.
Winston Shelton, the inventor of the modern washing machine and Kentucky Colonel’s pressure fryer, just died at 96. Things you just use and never think about the inventor. He was still going into work every day.
I miss people like John Belushi, John Candy and Chris Farley. If they had lived longer, who knows how much more laughter we’d all have had in our lives.
Everyone has to die at least once so that they can be reborn into the higher plane of existence. But we won’t really know what that will be like until we get there.
Too bad death is the end. Seems like such a waste to live then die so quickly. But some of us make big marks in the time they are here. How fortunate are we to be influenced by them years, decades, centuries from now?
