Christmas, says it all.

They all are – there are many religions. Older ones, too.

It’s really fascinating if you keep an open eye.

More people are worshiping the God Mammon then ever before…

And one is much more marketable.

I object to them referring to the Holly King as secular. Under different names ‘santa’ has bene around a lot longer.

Here’s to the Feast of St. Nicholas, Bishop of Myra!

Actually, not difficult at all. Jesus Christ is God the Son. St. Nicolas was a generous 4th century priest in Asia Minor, now Turkey.

Secular is always mythical. Religious is often based on some facts.

Yesterday someone said that George never shows up in the winter, and then BAM there he is.

It’s sort of a Mammon-worship tie-in deal.

Secularism is a religion. The god being worshipped is self. Always has been

Both of them used to be religious images, but that seems to be blinded by marketing now.

A regional specialty knife store had a sale insert in Sunday’s paper headlined…. ’Twas the Knife Before Christmas" Wonder how much they paid some an agency for that ridiculous idea?

And yet, no one here noticed that christmas is all about absconding with a Pagan holiday celebrated at the solstice; you know, the annual rebirth of the sun that conveniently occurs just a few days before. And many of the main features of christmas are stolen directly from the Pagan celebration in a clear attempt to take it over. And what passes for scholarship among the religious has long ago determined that if such a person really existed his birth wasn’t any where near the end of December.

So the season has nothing to do with the birth of a Jewish prophet turned into some christian deity and it has everything to do with obscuring a Pagan celebration.

Nothing new really, many of the christian holidays are conveniently located adjacent to older Pagan celebrations. But don’t tell the christians, facts only confuse them and make them angry.

Note the 2019 date (I thought it looked familiar); still a good point though…
