Punk: Son, suppose there's this murderer. And everyone knows he's a murderer. And we all want to see this guy nailed. But the cops screw it up. And the court is a ridiculous circus. And the judge is incompetent. And so is the prosecution. So this murderer is tried and acquitted! And gets off scot-free! Cat: No! Punk: But! But! Then he gets tried again, and this time he's found guilty! Cat: aha Punk: Would that be double-jeopardy or simply justice delayed? Or should we give a damn? Cat: Gee... I dunno..where did all this happen? Punk: It's just hypothetical.
