When I was young (long ago for some of you), TV shows used to show (sometimes) people breaking their records with a single slam on the floor, wall, etc. (like Donna Reed in “It’s a Wonderful Life”)… but the 45s and LPs I grew up with were flexible vinyl. Point? Charlie Brown’s record collection must be the old-timey records that were way easy to snap… :-) Someone in the know who lived it would be able to tell you (beyond Google) just when the changeover began…
