Charlie Brown leans over looking at the smiling, sitting Schroeder as Patty watches from nearby. He asks,"Doesn't Schroeder ever talk?"

She replies,"He hasn't learned how yet..he's too young" He stoops in front of him and asks,"Can he walk?"

She walks up to them and Schroeder turns towards her. She replies,"No, he doesn't walk yet either..."

Charlie Brown concludes,"Gee, this gives me a great feeling of superiority!"

I think Schroeder’s first spoken word will be “mama”. And then his second new word will be “papa”. And then his third new word will be “Beethoven”.
