Peanuts by Charles Schulz for July 13, 1955
Transcript:
Charlie Brown and Schroeder are in the field playing croquet. Charlie Brown stands poised to hit the ball and shouts, "It's No Use!"<br> <br>Frustrated, he exclaims, "I can't shoot when he's sitting there! He makes me nervous!"<br> <br> Schroeder walks away saying, "All right, I'll see what I can do.."<br> <br> He approaches Snoopy, who is perched atop the croquet stake. He says, "You heard him, Snoopy, you'll just have to get down.."<br> <br>
Curious that it is now Schroeder giving orders to Snoopy instead of Charlie Brown. Apparently, it took a long time for Schulz to determine the human to whom Snoopy belonged.
