Snoopy walks up to Charlie Brown sittting in the chair reading. Charlie Brown exclaims, "Oh, all right!"

He walks off with Snoopy smiling behind him. He mutters, "Good Grief!"

Snoopy runs along beside him as he carries the dog-dish. He says, "What a nuisance you are, Snoopy."

He stands afar and watches Snoopy eat from his dish and watch t.v. He concludes, "That's the only dog I know who has to have his dinner in front of the television set!"

I think this is the first really solid evidence of Snoopy being Charlie Brown’s dog. When the strip started, he just seemed to be part of the neighborhood, rather than belonging to anyone in specific.
