Sally sits on the floor in the living-room looking up at a grimacing Charlie Brown. He says, "I've been feeling pretty discouraged the last few days, Sally..."

He continues, "But it's really all my own fault...I guess I also owe you an apology for all the complaining I did just because I had to take you out for a walk"

He concludes, "Maybe if you and I stick together as brother and sister we can lick this old world yet! What do you say?"

Sally rises her baby-bottle up to him. She thinks, "I'LL drink to that!"

This is why we love Charlie Brown. He’s a loser but he’s thoroughly decent and he’s a winner in the things that matter most.
