Sally sits on the floor, drinking from her bottle as Schroeder plays the piano.(BR BR) She drinks as he plays.(BR BR) She offers her bottle to him. He doesn't look up.(BR BR) Sally crawls off.(BR BR) Lucy walks up, and sees the bottle lying on top of the piano while Schroeder plays.(BR BR) She sits leaning against the piano.(BR BR) She looks up.(BR BR) She turns to stare at Schroeder, who is impervious.(BR BR) "It always comes as a shock when it happens to someone you know..." She says, slumping back against the piano.(BR BR)
I’ve really never understood this joke… at all. Can anyone explain it to me?
