"There! Is that about right?" Lucy asks Charlie Brown. SHe kneels on the ground, holding a football. <br> <br> "Is that about right for what?" Charlie Brown asks. <br> <br> "I'll hold the ball, Charlie Brown, and you kick it!" Lucy says. <br> <br> He leans towards her and shouts: "ARE YOU CRAZY?" <br> <br> Charlie Brown throws up his arms and walks away: "You'll jerk it away, and I'll break my neck! Do you think you can fool me with the same stupid trick year after year after year?!" Lucy watches him leave. <br> <br> She stands next to him and pleads: "But that's the whole idea, Charlie Brown...the odds now are really in your favor!" <br> <br> "One of these times I may NOT jerk the ball away! One of these times I may actually hold on to it!" Lucy explains. Charlie Brown looks at her. <br> <br> "I never thought of it that way..." Chrlie Brown says thoughtfully. <br> <br> "Okay...You hold the ball, and I'll come running up, and kick it!" Charlie Brown heads off as Lucy bends over the football. <br> <br> He runs. <br> <br> "AAUGH!" Charlie Brown cries as Lucy pulls the football away and he goes sailing into the air. <br> <br> WHAM! Charlie Brown lands flat on his back. <br> <br> Lucy stands over Charlie Brown and explains, "I'm sorry...This wasn't the time!" <br> <br>
Does she think she can fool him year after year? Yes, she does.
