Linus stands on his front steps holding a bag. He says to Charlie Brown, "I'll bet you think, this is my lunch . . . Well, it isn't!"<BR><BR> Linus and Charlie Brown walk to school. Linus says, "No, sir, boy!"<BR><BR> Linus continues, "I have something in this bag that will guarantee my getting an 'A' in science."<BR><BR> Linus reaches into his bag. Charlie Brown says, "Let's see . . ."<BR><BR> Linus says, "It's piece of wood that is perfectly round . . . I found it myself . . ."<BR><BR> Linus continues, "Can you imagine the millions of years it took for the elements to mold it into this shape?"<BR><BR> Linus says, "It makes you think, doesn't it?"<BR><BR> Linus is surprised when Charlie Brown says, "It makes me think you've found an old croquet ball!"<BR><BR> Linus throws the ball in anger.<BR><BR> Linus shouts after the ball, "I hate phonies!!"<BR><BR>
Seems Linus WOULD HAVE made a good MAD SCIENTIST, not only because of this, but also of course, with his “Great Pumpkin” fetish—for one so intelligent, he COULD be a “little WHACKED upstairs,” to say the least, at times.
