"SO LONG, CHAPS!" The World War I Flying Ace waves from his doghouse.<BR><BR> "CONTACT!" Snoopy flies.<BR><BR> "Here's the World War I pilot taking off from a field somewhere in England..."<BR><BR> "Drat this fog! It's bad enough having to fight the Red Baron without fighting the fog, too!" Snoopy is outlined in this panel.<BR><BR> "Headquarters expect too much of us...When I get back, I think I'll write a letter to President Wilson." Snoopy thinks.<BR><BR> Snoopy looks over his shoulder and thinks, "IT'S THE 'RED BARON'! HE'S GOT ME AGAIN!"<BR><BR> "CURSE YOU, RED BARON!" Snoopy cries, waving his fist in the air.<BR><BR> "I've got to make a forced landing behind the trenches..."<BR><BR> "Bruised and battered I crawl out of my wrecked Sopwith Camel...I'm trapped in the middle of No-Man's land! Slowly I creep forward..." Snoopy slithers along on the ground.<BR><BR> "Suddenly there it is....BARBED WIRE!!! I've got to get through it before the machine gunners see me.." Snoopy leans over the grass. [PANEL 11]: Snoopy runs. [PANEL 12]: He rushes through a jumprope, which is being turned by Violet and Patty for Lucy, who stands on the side. They all think, "?" [PANEL 13]: "What was THAT?" Patty asks Charlie Brown, who stands behind her. They look off into the distance. Charlie Brown replies, "I think it was a World War I pilot going through some barbed wire, but I'm not sure..."<BR><BR>
