Snoopy wears his supper dish on his head and stands in front of steps. He thinks, "Wow! What a big hospital!"<BR><BR> Snoopy walks in the hospital and thinks, "If any of the nurses catch me, they'll kill me . . . They hate beagles in hospitals . . ."<BR><BR> Snoopy opens a door and thinks, "Lila?"<BR><BR> Lila sits in a hospital bed and says, "Snoopy!!" Snoopy stands next to the bed. He smiles and thinks, "Hi, sweetie!"<BR><BR>
This is the first, and only, appearance of Lila, Snoopy’s original owner. Lila had to give Snoopy away, so the two exchange letters. Lila became hospitalized therefore Snoopy left home to visit her. This storyline about Lila was the basis for the animated “Peanuts” feature “Snoopy Come Home”. She also appeared in “Snoopy’s Reunion”.
