Re Snoopy in last panel—kind of similar to the feeling a child may have on the day after Christmas, or even Christmas night(the night of Dec 25)—after having looked forward to Santa’s annual visit and receiving presents for so long, BAM! the big day is now over and behind you.(if what Snoopy is referring to, is his supper, and now that he ate it, the best part of his day is behind him.)
