On this day, the Apollo 10 Command Module, named for Charlie Brown himself, returns to Earth, reaching the highest speed of any crewed vehicle, 39,897 km/h, which record has, as of 2022, not yet been broken. The Apollo 10 Lunar Module, named for Snoopy, is still in solar orbit today.
