Linus looks at the ground and says, "This sidewalk has an amazing record."<BR><BR> Linus touches the sidewalk and says, "It's been here for twenty years . ."<BR><BR> Linus stands up and says, "During that time, countless little girls have fallen on their knees while roller skating."<BR><BR> Linus continues, "What a record . . . The sidewalk always wins . . The knees always lose . . ."<BR><BR>
What Linus says in Panel 2 makes sense, since this would have been roughly around the 20th anniversary of Peanuts(the following year,1970, would mark twenty years).
