Peppermint Patty and Charlie Brown sit on the ground and lean against a tree. Peppermint Patty says, "So you see, Chuck, I apologize for saying that you're stupid and wishy-washy and everything . . ."<BR><BR> Marcie stands by the tree ands watches. Peppermint Patty continues, "It's not easy for a girl to talk like this to a boy, you know . . ."<BR><BR> Charlie Brown says, "I know, but I always used to think how nice it would be if that little red-haired girl would just come up to me, and . ."<BR><BR> Charlie Brown tumbles in the air. Peppermint Patty shouts, "I can't stand you, Chuck!!!!" Marcie says, "Ha Ha, Herman."<BR><BR>
I try to be sympathetic to Charlie Brown. And as far as this incident goes, I was.
That is, until this point. This is the second time that Charlie Brown has brought up the topic of the red-haired girl in Patty’s company. And he has never apologized for it. Yes, Peppermint Patty crudely insulted him, but at least she apologized. Charlie Brown is a clueless clod.
