Schroeder plays the piano. Lucy leans on the piano and says, "You know what you could say to me on a rainy day like today?"<BR><BR> Lucy turns and faces Schroeder. She smiles and says, "You could say, 'Please try to stay out of the rain because you're sweet like sugar, and if you get wet, You'll melt?'"<BR><BR> Lucy continues, "That's my idea of something you could say to me . . ."<BR><BR> Lucy turns away and says, "It was just an idea . . ."<BR><BR>
Lucy’s problem is that she is in love with a totally fictional person who just looks like Schroeder. Even if he was in love with her, he’s not the type who would ever say something like that. But a lot of people fool themselves like that, even ones much older than Lucy, who should definitely know better.
