Lucy approaches Shroeder, who is playing the piano.<BR><BR> A music staff appears in the background. "Do you want to take me to the senior prom?" asks Lucy. She sits leaning against the piano, with her arm propped up on the piano.<BR><BR> Shroeder sits up and says "That won't be for another ten years." Lucy now has her back to Shroeder. She responds, "I just wanted to give you a break...In ten years I plan to be the most sought-after girl in school!"<BR><BR> Shroeder walks away, saying, "I have no intention to seek after you.."<BR><BR> Lucy yells after him: "WELL, IF YOU DO, I'LL BE STANDING BY THE DRINKING FOUNTAIN AT THE NORTH END OF THE BUIILDING!!"<BR><BR> She continues to sit.<BR><BR> Lucy resumes her former position. She says, "There's no sense to being sought after if you can't be found!"<BR><BR>
Linus and Sally are in the same grade. Also Lucy, Schroeder and Charlie Brown are in the same grade. Both Lucy and Schroeder started out younger than Charlie Brown, but became the same age as he was. In the beginning of the strip Patty, Violet and Shermy were older than Charlie Brown, but Charlie Brown grew up to be their age.
