Lucy calls, "Pitch it to 'im, boy!"<BR><BR> Lucy stands in front of a wooden fence. She yells: "Throw it right past him!!"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown, on the pitcher's mound, raises his arm as to pitch the ball.<BR><BR> POW! Charlie Brown is knocked upside down in the air, his clothes flying everywhere.<BR><BR> Lucy stares up at a sock, which has landed on the fence behind her.<BR><BR> Lucy approaches Charlie Brown, who lies flat on his back on the pitcher's mound. She exclaims, "Guess what, manager...One of your socks flew clear out to the center-field fence!"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown is sitting up. Lucy considers, "That must be some kind of record...would you call it the longest sock ever hit, or just the longest sock? Or maybe you could call it the longest sock ever socked..."<BR><BR> Lucy, now on the mound, continues, "How about the longest hit ever socked or the longest sock ever sockered?" Charlie Brown is miserable.<BR><BR> Charlie Brown yells: "WHY DON'T YOU JUST GET BACK IN CENTER FIELD WHERE YOU BELONG?!!!"<BR><BR> Lucy walks back, saying, "This is that time of year when baseball managers always start getting crabby!"<BR><BR>
Charlie Brown’s team has always socked!
