Peppermint Patty sits at her desk in school and looks at a piece of paper. She reads, "How many barrels in a household?"<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty continues, "How many inches in a nail? How many nails in a quarter? How many square roots in a rood?"<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty shouts, "How many whats in a who? How many whos in a what?!"<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty sits back and says, "It's zero time!"<BR><BR>
Those are pretty unfair questions, although most charts will show 2 barrels to a hogshead, a hogshead could vary for different types of liquid (1 hogshead of wine = 63 US gallons; 1 hogshead of beer = 54 gallons), so no wonder no one uses these anymore.
There’s approx. 40 square rods to a rood (1/4 acre). No idea what unit of measurement a nail amounts to.
