Marcie and Peppermint Patty are walking along the lane. Marcie asks,"Do you think we'll see an eagle?" Peppermint Patty replies,"It could happen."

Marcie says,"I've never been bird watching before, sir." Peppermint Patty says,"Well, just do what I tell you, Marcie, it can be very gratifying..."

She spreads her hands and continues,"Now, you stand here and watch, and I'll stand over there, and we'll report to each other what we see...."

Marcie looks through her binoculars and says,"I think I see some puffy birds, sir!" Peppermint Patty sits nearby and looks back at her; She exclaims,"Those aren't 'Puffy Birds', Marcie, those are clouds!"

Marcie watches as the Beaglescout and his troops march by. She stares after them and says,"Guess what, sir...I just saw five walking birds..." Peppermint Patty turns to her and says,"There isn't such a thing as a 'Walking Bird,' Marcie!"

Marcie says,"Five yellow walking birds, and the last one was carrying an angel food cake..."

They walk along and Peppermint Patty says,"Let's go home, Marcie... I think you're cracking up."

Marcie stops and looks over a bush at the Beaglescout and his troops standing in a clearing eating cake. She concludes,"...And the angel food cake had seven-minute frosting..."
