Snoopy and Woodstock lean on each other atop the doghouse. Snoopy sighs as Woodstock does the same and chirps. Charlie Brown stands by the mailbox and looks at an envelope.

He takes the envelope to Snoopy and says,"Here, this just came for you...."

Snoopy looks at the letter and thinks,"You are cordially invited to a luncheon on Wednesday....regrets only."

Snoopy thinks,"I have lots of regrets...I regret I ate too much pizza last night..."

Woodstock and Snoopy start to shake with laughter as Snoopy thinks,"I regret that I've never punched a cat in the nose! I regret that I've never been able to grow a beard! And I regret that I've never heard from that little Georgia beagle since I spilled root beer down her back!"

They start laughing heartily. They fall off the doghouse onto their heads.

Dazed and giggling, Woodstock and Snoopy lie on the floor. Snoopy thinks,"I regret that I can't go to the luncheon because my head hurts."

Is “regrets only” sort of the opposite of “RSVP”?
