Lucy stands with her mitt out and says,"Just wait there until I explain it to him"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown stands on the mound grimacing and saying,"Oh, no...here she comes..." Lucy walks up to him smiling.<BR><BR> Lucy puts her hand up and exclaims,"Hey, manager, I've got a great idea!" He sighs.<BR><BR> She continues,"You know why we lose so many ball games? Because there are only three of us in the outfield!"<BR><BR> He looks at her in puzzlement as she gestures to people standing afar and says,"Now,if we could sneak in three more outfielders, we could catch some of those fly balls, right? Okay, girls, come on in..."<BR><BR> Three girls stand in front of her as she says,"See? We dress them all in green and paint their faces green, and when they stand on the green grass, no one will know they're out there!"<BR><BR> She turns to Charlie Brown and asks,"Well what do you think?"<BR><BR> Lucy walks back across the field with her cap pulled down over her eyes. She says,"Managers are all alike....they never like somebody else's ideas..." The girls walk in front of her, and one of them asks,"How do we get this green stuff off?"<BR><BR>
One of Patty’s increasingly rare appearances. Interestingly enough, she was originally catcher (before Schroeder) on Charlie Brown’s baseball team.
