Charlie Brown stands atop the mound, preparing to pitch. He pitches.<BR><BR> He calls outs,"A pop fly!" "I got it! It's all mine!"<BR><BR> He runs along the field, looking up in the sky with his mitt outstretched. He says,"If I catch this ball, we'll win our first game of the season..."<BR><BR> He stops running and continues,"Please let me catch it! Please let me be the hero! Please let me catch it! Please!" He starts running again and wonders,"On the other hand, do I think I deserve to be the hero?"<BR><BR> He swivels around and continues,"The kid who hit it doesn't want to be the goat..." He stops and continues,"Is a baseball game really this important?"<BR><BR> He shifts from side to side and continues,"Lots of kids all over the world never even heard of baseball..."<BR><BR> He stops and continues,"Lots of kids don't get to play at all, or have a place to sleep, or..." He looks at his mitt as the ball bonks out of it.<BR><BR> He stands on the mound as Schroeder approaches him and asks,"Charlie Brown, how could you miss such an easy pop fly?!" Charlie Brown replies,"I prayed myself out of it..."<BR><BR>
