The World War I Flyin Ace lies on a cot. He thinks, "Next Monday is the Red Baron's birthday."<BR><BR> Snoopy walks to a store and thinks, "I have to send him a nice card . ."<BR><BR> Snoopy looks at the card selection and thinks, "I wonder if he likes 'Garfield'."<BR><BR>
It’s interesting because Peanuts was also referenced in Garfield twice. In one strip, Garfield looks at his reflection and it is suddenly Snoopy, to which Garfield says, “It’s gonna be one of those Mondays”, as well as a strip where Garfield is stuck in a tree and he thinks things can’t get any worse, to which he gets caught in a kite string and an off-panel voice says, “Good grief!”
