Lucy is in the outfield where she wears a dunce hat.<BR><BR> Charlie is at the pitcher mound where he tells Lucy, standing next to him, "But don't play too far back.." Lucy says, "I understand."<BR><BR> Charlie adds, "And if a ball comes your way, yell 'I got it!'" Lucy replies, "Let me write that down."<BR><BR> Lucy walks away from the pitcher's mound and says, "I have everything you've told me written right here is my notebook.."<BR><BR> Charlie winds up to pitch. He pitches abnd watches the ball fly after it is hit.<BR><BR> Lucy sees it coming and pulls out her noteball to read, "Don't bunt on the third strike." Ball falls behind her.<BR><BR> Lucy continues to read, "Tag up on an outfield fly. Back up the center fielder." Ball is still lying on the field behind her.<BR><BR> Charlie runs up to Lucy and asks, "What in the world.." Lucy is still reading her notes, "Try to hit the cut-off man. Make them pitch to you."<BR><BR> Lucy says, "Here is is.."<BR><BR> Lucy looks up for the ball and yells, "I got it!" She surprises Charlie. Ball has been lying behind her for a while.<BR><BR>
Good example of why you can’t learn sports from books.
