Again, how pompous can you get, Linus?

Yup, and he’ll use the same speach for re election.

Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea after all.

I think Linus has gone a little overboard with this “spiritual babylon” business.

Oh boy, this isn’t going to end well.

In a different strip, Linus decides what he wants to be in life — “a wild-eyed fanatic”. And here we go….

I’d vote for him (in 2012 certainly).

I wonder what his “purge” will entail? That’s the scariest aspect of his diatribe.

Maybe the principal looks pale because he thinks Linus means that he is a “false idol in high places.”

I never would’ve thought Linus was a Peanutstafarian, preaching the return to their spiritual homeland of Minneapolis.

He certantly can’t do any worse than the cartoons we have in Washington right now.

Hmmmm, I wonder.

back when this was originally drawn it was absolutely perfect for the times. now some decades forward it still is :) the power of classic strips

I think he’s miore channeling Cromwell than any anarchist.

I suppose Linus went to Moody Bible college and studied to be a fire and brimstone preacher. Or he reads too much of Isaiah and Jeremiah in the Bible not to mention Revelation.

…I think he misunderstands the role of student council president…
