I’ve lived in Santa Rosa, myself, since the early 1970’s… and Petaluma is 14 miles south of here.

The wrist wrestling championships in Petaluma were real…and Schulz would have heard about them.They ended about a dozen years ago… a couple of years after he died.
BJ Hunnicutt, a character on M.A.S.H., was supposed to be from Petaluma..but people around here laughed…cos he pronounced it “Pet-TAL-yuma” and it’s actually “Pet-a-LOOM-a”.
