I remember “love beads”—part of the move toward “androgyny” as seen by some in the late 60s and early 70s. Guys wearing traditionally “feminine” colours and flower prints, beads etc. I remember my siblings and self being given candy “love beads” by an uncle. My mother would have been outraged, if they hadn’t been edible…but then she was outraged by most things.
