When I was in high school, our football team was awful. After three years of losing every game (usually quite badly), they tied the very last game of my senior year 6-6. The fans were so happy, they tore down one of the goal posts.
Begs to wonder about the other team. Not only did the Peanuts team load the bases but they went into the 9th inning tied. The peanuts gang are usually down 40-0 in the 1st inning. And as someone pointed out, the team has won at least one game maybe another. All when Chuck wasn’t playing.

If he keeps playing like that, Rerun will be re-walk.

Mhhh… That implies the bases were loaded and that the score was a draw until then…

A week or two ago Rerun was one year old. Is he playing baseball at that age, or has cartoon time stretched him to five now?

You didn’t win the game unless Re-run actually walked to 1st base, and the kid on 3rd base walked home and stepped on home plate …

I think the other team is going to cry.

This sort of thing actually happened in a Major League Baseball game.

I wonder how the other team felt.

Walked Linus with the bases loaded in a tie game. Now that’s a ‘walk-off’ win! Well done, gang!

Who was pitching, the young Barry Zito? You’re a good man Zito for letting a 1-year-old baby to give a win for Charlie Brown.

Ah, it’ll get disqualified because of Rerun’s age.

Start crying Charlie Brown. But not tears of joy, cry those tears of misery. Murphy is just winding up, you know.
