One of Frieda’s extremely few appearances after 1970.

This arc reminds me of one summer about 1973 when a kid turned up at my mom’s house offering to mow the lawn. She agreed, and when he was done he wanted 30 dollars for the job. That’s almost $200 today. Back then, minimum wage was 1.30 in Iowa, just for comparison.

Haven’t seen Frieda in a while, the girl with ‘naturally curly hair’.

First, you imply multiples and then deliver singular, CB? Not exactly best for business!

Hopefully, Freda’s mom will pay Charlie Brown enough for this.

CB didn’t actually say he was going to wash any windows.

Ha! Come and wash mine, CB, I dare you! The front of the house is three stories and all large windows on all three floors. A frame. Looks like a fancy church. A single, large wooden cross frames the peak roof glass to the second story floor.

As a kid in England I was in the Cubs (Cub Scouts), and we had an annual ‘Bob a Job Week’. What fun that was, people were very kind and rarely difficult. I bet it would be very different these days. A ‘bob’ is a shilling, or 12 pennies.
